Great excitement at church. (We called it ‘The Tab’. Always will. I think Pete did). Excitement? - well, Pete Farley was going to preach on Sunday. It was a memorable occasion, and typically Pete. Did he stand to preach? No! In fact, did he preach? Sort of. Can I remember what he said? Sorry, no. Why was it memorable? Because he had the lectern removed, sat (lounged) on a sofa, and peeled and ate a banana whikst speaking to us. What did he say? No idea. What was his message? It was to be oneself, with himself as a visual aid. Message was loud and vlear.
What a unique man, and kind and supportive to me. Deeply caring, and always having time for people. An inspiration. And this is not just a tribute because he's (temporarily) not with us now. Ive always said it, and so have thousands of others. 

Miss Pete. Look forward to catching up, as we most surely will.
